Un nuovo percorso ad anello ci consente di scoprire un tratto del ciglione carsico, attraverso antiche scale in arenaria, ammirando il mare dall’alto attraverso scorci suggestivi.
Nei pressi del porticciolo Cedas, in corrispondenza delle strisce pedonali poste sulla destra del bar-ristorante al civico 303 di Viale Miramare, troviamo una scala che ci invita a iniziare il percorso. Si sale fino al tracciato ferroviario. Una volta superato il sottopassaggio il sentiero prosegue piegando a destra, salendo fino a raggiungere la strada Salita di Contovello.
Da qui, voltando a sinistra, si giunge all’abitato di Contovello, che merita una breve visita interna, anche per ammirare il panorama dall’alto. Dall’estremità settentrionale del piccolo borgo si segue il sentiero che conduce allo stagno, dove un’area attrezzata pic-nic e un parco giochi invitano a godere appieno della bellezza del luogo, rinfrancati anche dall’aver già affrontato tutte le parti in salita del sentiero.
Scendendo per Strada Berda, incontrata una fontanella per l’acqua, si imbocca il sentiero dei pescatori (Sentiero Natura – n. 9 CAI), un antico tracciato usato dalle genti del Carso specialmente durante le grandi battute di pesca del tonno che coinvolgevano tutti gli abitanti del villaggio, con le vedette in alto che comunicavano la posizione dei tonni giù giù fin sulla costa.
Da qui si arriva alla graziosa stazione ferroviaria di Miramare, e oltrepassato il sottopassaggio, percorrendo via Beirut, si percorre il bel viale alberato che conduce all’ingresso superiore del Parco di Miramare. Non fatevi spaventare, durante gli orari di apertura il cancello è solo accostato.
Il Parco del Castello vi offrirà ristoro al corpo e all’animo, con la bellezza del luogo e con i suoi servizi. Percorrendo i vialetti fino a ridiscendere al livello del mare, piegando sulla sinistra, si giunge in viale Miramare e da qui si ritorna al punto di partenza lungo un piacevole percorso pedonale alberato

Nova krožna pot, speljana je prek starodavnih stopnišč iz peščenjaka, omogoča spoznavanje sugestivnih kotičkov kraškega roba in razpira prekrasen pogled na morje. V bližini kontovelskega pristana (portiča) Čedaz, ob prehodu za pešce desno od bara in restavracije na Miramarskem drevoredu št. 303, nas stopnišče kar vabi, da se podamo na pot. Od tu se povzpnemo do železniške proge. Po podvozu zavije steza desno in se vzpenja do Kontovelske rebri. Ko prispemo do ceste, zavijemo levo in pridemo do zaselka Kontovel, ki si zasluži kratek obisk; tu lahko uživamo ob čudovitem razgledu. Na severu vasice se pot nadaljujejo do ribnika (mlake); prostor za piknik in igrala nas vabijo, da uživamo v lepotah kraja, saj je strmi del poti že za nami in si tu lahko res oddahnemo.
Ko se spustimo po Cesti v Skedjanc, naletimo na pitnik in tam zavijemo na ribiško pot (Naravno pot – št. 9 CAI). To starodavno stezo so uporabljali Kraševci predvsem med lovom na tune, pri katerem so sodelovali vsi prebivalci vasi. Z razglednih točk na kraškem robu so domačini sporočali ribičem, kje se nahajajo jate tunov vzdolž obale. Tako prispemo do očarljive železniške postaje pri Miramaru; po podhodu se po Bejrutski ulici napotimo do čudovitega drevoreda, ki vodi do zgornjega vhoda v miramarski park. Ko je park odprt za javnost, so vhodna vrata le priprta, zato lahko kar vstopimo. Lepota okolja in številne storitve, ki jih ponuja grajski park, so prava osvežitev za dušo in telo. Steze in potke vodijo vse do obale; če zavijemo levo, se vrnemo na Miramarski drevored in po prijetni pešpoti do izhodišča krožne poti.

A new circular route lets us discover a stretch of the Karst edge through a set of ancient sandstone steps, admiring the sea from above and providing evocative views. Near the Cedas marina, at the pedestrian crossing to the right of the bar-restaurant at no. 303 Viale Miramare, a set of steps invites us to begin our journey. Climbing up as far as the railway line, once you have have cleared the underpass, the path continues, curving to the right and ascending until it reaches the Salita di Contovello road. From here, turning left, you reach the village of Contovello, which itself deserves a brief visit for a look, as well as to admire the sea view from above. From the northern end of this small settlement, follow the path that leads to the village pond, where a picnic area and children’s playground invite you to fully enjoy the beauty of the spot, relieved at already having the uphill parts of the path under your belt.
Going along Strada Berda and encountering a drinking fountain, take the so-called ‘fishermen’s path’ (Nature Trail – n. 9 CAI), an ancient route used by the people of the Karst, especially during the great tuna hunts that involved all the village inhabitants, with the spotters above communicating the position of the schools of tuna down to the catchers on the coast. From here you arrive at the lovely Miramare railway station, and, after the underpass, along Via Beirut, a beautiful tree-lined avenue that leads to the upper entrance to the Miramare Park. Don’t worry if the gate is closed, during opening hours it might look locked, but isn’t. The castle’s park offers refreshment for both body and soul, with the beauty of the place and its services. Dropping down along the paths until you reach sea level and turning left, you reach Viale Miramare from where you return to your initial starting point along a pleasing tree-lined pavement.

Der neue Rundwanderweg lädt zu einer Entdeckungstour ein: Über alte Sandsteintreppen geht es hinauf auf den Karstkamm mit seinen bezaubernden Ausblicken aufs Meer. Der Weg beginnt in der Nähe des kleinen Hafens Cedas. Auf der Höhe des Zebrastreifens führt rechts vom Café-Restaurant (Viale Miramare 303) eine Treppe den Karst hinauf. An den Bahngleisen angekommen, geht es weiter durch die Unterführung und dann rechts hinauf, bis man zur Straße Salita di Contovello kommt. Hier biegt man links ab und erreicht schließlich die Ortschaft Contovello, die – auch aufgrund des atemberaubenden Panoramas – einen kurzen Besuch wert ist. Vom nördlichen Ende des keinen Ortes verläuft der Weg weiter zu einem Teich mit einem Picknick- und Spielplatz. Hier kann man die Schönheit der Natur in vollen Zügen genießen – nicht zuletzt weil der beschwerliche Teil bereits hinter einem liegt. Auf der Strada Berda geht es dann wieder hinab Richtung Meer, an einem Trinkbrunnen vorbei und schließlich weiter auf dem Fischerweg (Sentiero Natura – 9 CAI). Dieser alte Pfad wurde von den Karstbewohnern früher vor allem in der Zeit des Thunfischfangs benutzt, bei dem alle Dorfbewohner mithalfen. Von den Aussichtspunkten aus konnten sie den Fischern an der Küste die genaue Position der Thunfische angeben. Den krönenden Abschluss des Pfades bildet der malerische Bahnhof Miramare. Nach der Unterführung geht es weiter auf der von Bäumen gesäumten Via Beirut bis zum Eingang in den Schlosspark Miramare. Keine Sorge: Auch wenn es so aussieht, als wäre das Tor geschlossen – während der Öffnungszeiten ist es nur angelehnt. Im Schlosspark kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Auch fürs leibliche Wohl ist gesorgt. Auf den Schlosspfaden geht es hinab bis zum Meer und dann nach links in Richtung Viale Miramare, der einen auf einem idyllischen Fußweg unter Bäumen schließlich wieder zurück zum Ausgangspunkt bringt.
